Thank-you both Holyoke Home and Karin Katherine! Luckily I normally sleep like a log. This is unusual so today I shall go with the flow & take a nap if I have to!

Why thank-you Gyanban! I'm messing with it right now as a matter of fact ...trying to get the tweet/retweet button integrated. Got that! Now I want it floating on the right at the bottom of each post. DON'T have that yet and am frustrated cuz I barely know what I'm doing!

Your comment therefore is INCREDIBLY timely!!!! Thanks again ...

Woo hoo!! Got it!!! Ok everyone ....start tweeting & retweeting!

(Note to self: figure out what tweeting & retweeting is)

I want all those things on your list.

If you can't sleep, get out of bed and do something quiet for a little while (reading tends to be good), then try going back to bed.

Warm milk with honey is also good - but then I have to brush my teeth and the activity counteracts the benefits of the milk (I think).

You should also be winding down before going to bed. Unfortunately, surfing the web or watching TV doesn't give the mind a chance to wind down to allow sleeping.

Of course you're right ....

honestly hadn't really thought about web surfing/blogging/sitting on butt in front of omputer as not particularly conducive to "winding down". Watching TV, same category.

Plus I haven't been reading as much as I used to which is tragic (to be dramatic)--but it is!

Thoughtful ....thank-you Richard.

Insomnia is the worst!! But what could be better for trying to get to sleep then some good reruns of "mad Men?" lol. Yes, there are reruns, on AMC occassionally, but your best bet is to netflix (or rent) the first two seasons so you can watch them in order. You dont have to wait a week for each episode, and before you know it you will be up to date!

Great blog! I'm your newest follower;)

Thanks so much for stopping by on my SITS Day!

-->Hey first time to your site. I saw you mention Charlottesville being three hours west of your house and figured we had to live near each other - - we do! Well, I think we do, I'm in Va. Beach.
I like your blog layout too. :-)

I hope you get some sleep. I hate nights like that.

To answer your question about cinnamon chips. I can get them at my grocery store in the baking aisle and they're made my Hershey's but sadly not everyone carries them. You may be able to find them online but King Arthur Flour also carries their own brand as well.

Hi Deb! Yes! I'm in Chesapeake. Actually I'm at work right now at Hilltop!!

I'm very new to blogging ...and none of my friends blog ...so let's be blog-friends! And we can go stalk Sam Shepard together. hee hee

Thanks so much for saying 'hi' and thanks too for nice compliment!

Yep Josh, ditto. Although "being found" by certain things ...or certain "someone's" ...wouldn't be so bad!

Ill check back and see how your figuring all this out! I might learn a thing or two :)

I hope you ended up finally getting some good sleep in. I know I had a hard time the night before my big day! I always find it fun learning new things for the blog or site. You'll have to let me know how the tweeting works out for you. It still is something I have yet to venture into!

TV, in general, doesn't help to wind down because it is geared to keep you engaged and interested (the same thing that keeps you from wanting to flip channels is the same thing that keeps you awake).

I think surfing the Web stimulate sus because we start "chasing" things. You know, it is 23:00 and all of a sudden we need to find out if there are any good flight deals to Tokyo ... two hours later we have wasted far too much time chasing down that elusive awesome deal.
